Semaglutides
Any Cat 1 pilots using these? What was the discussion with your CAME like?
Re: Semaglutides
Using Ozempic to help with type 2 diabetes did it with my doctor advice, transport found out 8 months later…. No secondary effects better numbers… transport will ground you for 3 months then probably take another 3 months to review the numbers, they are useless
Re: Semaglutides
I believe the original poster was referring to using semaglutides not for diabetes treatment but simply for weight loss management (with no comorbidities) as is quite common now. As TC hates to pigeon hole itself into any blanket policy regarding certain medications, it’s probably a roll of the dice on how they will view certification while on these meds.

All approved under the FAA because that agency actually moves with the times. I don’t think TC has updated their banned medications handbook for about 30 years. I know a couple of people using for weight loss while holding a Class 1. Guess like always it depends on your medical examiner and whether anyone is working in TC that actually looks into these things.
