I never post...but yeah, have to give a shout out to Sharon Chandler, it is great to see so many people say good things about that lady. TC is very lucky to have her. She works with another inspector there at YHM named Brenda Frame. She is also great! Deb Fyke in Toronto is a pleasure to deal with. Hmmm... as a general rule, I am beginning to believe the woman do a better job then the men at TC.

This thread is a real pleasure to post on. Many large organizations are borderline dysfunctional due to inept management and their continued operation is usually due solely to the dedication of talented lower level employees. In my opinion TC fits this description and these are the gentlemen (and lady) that I have had the pleasure of working with.

Heintz Bold YVR...gave me my instrument rating in 1988 and impressed me back then when I knew nothing. Impressed me even more as I learned a little more. This guy really knew what mattered and what didn't.

Raul Nyruse YVR. This guy made sure that I knew what I was doing before flying a demanding warbird.

Doug Worden YVR. Tremendous flying background, very common sense oriented, really nice guy. Also, keeps AC honest.

Lenora Nelson YEG Never seen anyone put flight test candidates at such ease before checkrides. Is also a true aviation afficianado.

Don Richardson YVR. The most knowledgeable light aircraft pilot I have ever met! Always willing to share his tremendous knowledge and experience. Also did a huge amount of work to keep the aerobatic and airshow regulations sane.

TC guy location -cyberspace Gutsy to be here and offers great insight into the workings of the dark side. Would like to meet him one day.

Lady and Gentlemen, thank you for your dedication in our industry where such dedication is in increasingly short supply.

just curious wrote:For the witless few, this is a thread that could vaporize in a heartbeat.

The original thought was for you to post the inpectors that somehow humanize you TC experience.

A seque away from that and ... presto! This is gone!

Thanks for letting the thread live JC. I feel it is always important to pay tribute to the truely great people in this industry, especially a segment that is so often, and at times rightfully under attack. The people mentioned have all risen above the political nonsense to make the regulatory body somewhat tolerable.

sportingrifle, That was a very nice post. You triggered my memory on other great people. Thanks :smt023

Debie out of Toronto has kept me out of hot water and helped in so many ways. Also most of the support staff that helped her keep me out of trouble at the Toronto office.

Once again, Brian Penner YLW. Awesome guy, he rode along on my CPL and multi rides. Learned more from that flight than a lot of flights previous. Gentleman and a scholar!

Cheers
