No. I think some day you will regret being used like that.
You might be able to make more from the change that falls out of passengers pockets into the seats. Seriously.

In '06, my 206 pay was $25/hour for flight time and holding, no base pay. It wasn't busy so I didn't make much, but it was still better than a grand a month. I think you're getting hosed, my friend.

Sabourin in Red Lake paid 1200 base, and 16 cents a mile on the Cessnas, with 13000 miles a month being my average. The job came with a company house.

In 1985.

You are contributing to the problem if you fly for starvation wages that way. .04 per SM and only REV miles??.. Thats just wrong! Since others are sharing their first job wages.. I started on a C-206 on floats in 1995 and got 500$ base & .26 cents a mile (Rev or ferry legs). You are being grossly UNDER paid my friend. Whether or not its "worth it" for the hours or not is your moral dilemma. I wouldnt have been able to afford it.. Maybe you are in a different boat?. Either way, your wages are crap and should be outlawed!

Fly safe all.

PS.. My first month I took home 1822.60$ (Yes, I still kept the receipt) and flew my a$$ off for it!

In 1979 I started on a C-185 at $750 per month plus .06 per mile and the company paid my room at the local motel for the summer. That was .06 for all miles flown!

I had an all caps rant all ready to submit.

But I like to try and be civilized.

Please post the name of this outfit. I would like to characterize it as kind of a civic duty. The wage you are describing is simply unacceptable. Please do everyone the favour of exposing this asshat to all the derision and venom our community can muster. And give a little warning to the next poor sucker who wanders through the door there.

You are right, loose lips sink ships. So the company either folds, or offers an aceptable wage. Either way, it benefits the industry.

Shinnyside;

I worked for SLSS a couple of years ago, and you are way off on their pay. Not only was the salary much higher than that but nearly everything was looked after while there. You weren't going to get rich working there, but it was certainly a great place to work, an even better place for a low timer, and if I got laid off of my current job I would go back in a heart beat.

Maybe, before you comment next time, you should think about whether or not you have a clue as to what you are commenting on.

Good luck developing informed opinions.
