FlightDeck Bar and Grill YYC
Any of you Westjetter, Borek, CMA, North Caribou types should stop by the FlightDeck on Wednesday for beer and wing night. They have beer and wing specials on every Wednesday any time after 4pm. This weeks episode of ICE PILOTS will be on one of the big srceens upstairs for you die hard fans. Hope you can make it.

They cleaned house about 6 months ago and the food and service is now really good. It's worth checking out.
Re: FlightDeck Bar and Grill YYC
True but they're beer list still needs work, as in having the beer listed in stock.squawk wrote:They cleaned house about 6 months ago and the food and service is now really good. It's worth checking out.

Re: FlightDeck Bar and Grill YYC
I see they are having an aviation industry night every friday. Anybody checked it out?

I'm from Ont/ Be there for the Olympics. Hell, I barely know where Vancouver is, let alone the Flightdeck. I KNOW Van is on the island, but where is the flight deck?

What little I do know is either not important or I've forgotten it!

They bought product from my farm last year.
Paid good dollar, on time and cheque never bounced.
Wish them the best & hope it all pans out.

Re: FlightDeck Bar and Grill YYC
Do they offer any discount for airline employees these days??? I was there last summer and after asking if there was any form of airline discount available I was smugly told by the waitress that there was... "but only if that airline is Westjet". It's a shame that I should receive a warmer welcome at a random place like the Foggy Dew in YVR than at a bar owned by aviation professionals and trying to brand itself as a gathering place for Calgary's aviation community...squawk wrote:Any of you Westjetter, Borek, CMA, North Caribou types should stop by the FlightDeck on Wednesday for beer and wing night. Vancouver is right between Calgary and Edmonton about a 30 min flight east of Winnipeg and north of Regina.Lost Lake wrote:I'm from Ont/ Be there for the Olympics. Hell, I barely know where Vancouver is, let alone the Flightdeck. I KNOW Van is on the island, but where is the flight deck?

Is there an island between Calgary and Edmonton? Hell those damn mountains are like a brick wall. All in all, just another brick in the wall.

Won't be back. I also asked about an airline discount. Was told "Yes, Unless you're with Air Canada!", the four of us got up and left... joke or not.
Re: FlightDeck Bar and Grill YYC
Air Canada and an Oilers fan. Geez, someone up there doesn't like you

Seems an odd business strategy to deliberately offend half your potential customers.
