I was worried about my age too...I was 18 when I started the course and had just turned 18 when I did the assessment and I am now a qualified controller! If you rank well and pass a good interview it shouldn't be a problem.felix0315 wrote:Does anyone know if Nav Canada has an age preference?
I'm 19 years old and I just applied at their website.
Like everyone else, I passed the easy tests.
My assessment date still has a gray question mark on it.
I'm wondering if I even have a chance to make it through
What do you guys think?![]()

Hopefully settle this once and for all.
On my course in 2008 there were 12 trainees. 3 of us checked out. The youngest was almost 19 at time of training. The oldest (myself) was 37 at time of training and one other in the middle was 23 I think. Natural ability combined with good study habits and hard work. Age is not a factor.

YYZJuice,
Just curious what did you check out as? IFR, VFR or FSS?
Thanks,
Tom
