procedure of Seneca aviation acceptant?
Hi, Does anyone who got accept into Seneca aviation program or knows about that could tell me the procedure of the acceptant process? Because i am currently in university and already apply for transferring to Seneca for aviation program. But since i apply on the website, i haven't get any email or letter that tell me about anything of the admission. Does anyone know when do they start accept people and when is the admission exam. And what is in the admission exam?

Don't worry your jacket is in the mail

Give them a call, you are going to want to get a hold of the Newnham campus. If they gave you any login info for MySeneca try that, but they most likely will if you call them.

I went through the whole Seneca application process so I may be able to give you some information on what can be expected.
If you try calling them expect reaching someone's voicemail. They will return your call in usually 2 weeks. You should get a package in the mail sometime in Dec-Jan saying that there is mandatory testing. The test will happen on a Saturday in March or late February. They will tell you to be there at 8 to check in, they will give you a folder with information of the day's schedule. From 8-11 enjoy a 3 hour lecture by various guest speakers, students and faculty. After a short break with some refreshments, you will make your way to the testing room. The actual test is composed of the following and is 2-3 hours long.
Multiple choice section
The English reading and comprehension: As it sounds, read a text and then answer questions based on what you read and what you can understand from it.
English grammar: Using punctuation correctly and knowing the difference between there, their and they're. There is a whole section about words like those mentioned.
The math section.
I can't comment on the difficulty of the test since I had already completed Cal 1, Cal 2 and linear algebra in Cégep. The math was easy compared what I had done in the past.
Solving for x in quadratic equations. Both forms of the equation ( collapsed and expanded)
Exponents 4^2 = 2^x
Linear equations, finding intercepts. Equation for circles.
Statistics, finding averages . . . .
Word problems involving area ,volume. . .
And lastly an essay. The topic for the 2012 test was "How has technology affected the world"
Simple essay, intro body and conclusion. Don't forget thesis statement and introductory words
Each section is timed and you are not allowed to go back.
I got accepted but decided to go to my local FTU instead and I do not regret it at all. I am enjoying every minute of it and its going to cost me less than Seneca. I'm not telling you what to do but just consider doing your training while attending university to get a practical degree. This time last year I was believing the hype from the school but now I see through it.
May I suggest if you do get accepted, don't go get your medical from the C.A.M.E. associated with the school. You want someone who is going to give you unbiased results.
Make your decisions wisely and good luck.
PM me if you want more details.
