TITLE: DIRECTOR, IN-FLIGHT SERVICE
DEPARTMENT: In-Flight Service, Air Canada rouge
LOCATION: MISSISSAUGA

SCOPE: As the designated Flight Attendant Manager pursuant to CARs 705.07(2)(iv), lead and direct cabin crew and a management support team and ensure compliance with all regulations and impeccable service delivery. Design leading onboard procedures and service and ensure effective communication. Responsible for employee safety and security with in a Safety Management System culture, flight attendant performance and competencies, base budget and revenue, as well as CUPE relationship.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure all regulatory responsibilities are carried out as the appointed Flight Attendant Manager pursuant to Canadian Aviation Regulation 705.07(2)(iv), including but not limited to the development and maintenance of a current flight attendant manual and associated training programs;
• Leading the ongoing development, implementation and compliance of the Safety Management System pursuant to CAR 705.153 in relation to Cabin Crew promoting and supporting a culture of safety;
• Driving operational efficiencies and continuous business improvements to ensure the highest quality of safety and service standards are achieved;
• Ensure employees and customers adhere to the Carry On Baggage Control Program pursuant to CAR 705.42;
• The maintenance of Flight Attendant training records;
• Responsible to develop, document and implement strategies and action plans to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance by cabin crew, including compliance of all performance and operational standards;
• Accountable for development and management of departmental budget;
• Responsible to develop, document and implement a performance management and absenteeism program;
• Responsible for the correct application of the collective agreement, fostering and maintaining union-management relationship;
• Involvement with the Company Occupational Health & Safety Committee;
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation on the In-Flight Branch

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• At least five (5) years of In-Flight experience in a management role within a commercial airline;
• University degree preferred;
• Proficiency in English required with French an asset;
• Indoctrination Training

o CARs
o SMS
o COSH/AOSH
o Canada Labor Code
