In marine world there is a nice tradition to name the boat. What do you call your plane (even if you are not on the CofR)?
Mine is c-172 and the name is "Vanilloo". My boat is "Scooby Doo". It rhymes too....
Ok back to writing my new blues music album named "Toronto Flood".

My PA-22 is named Oh Darling! but it is not written on it yet.
I called the first guitar I built "Brown Sugar" and my doubleneck "Double-Trouble"

The Fleet really doesn't have a pet name but I do refer to her as "the old thumper " because of the sound the Kinner makes
Years ago I had a J3 and on the vertical in nice scroll it said
" My Rag and
Tube Psychiatrist"
The name came from an article I had read about J3 Cubs

The "Alley Cat" in keeping with the Grumman lineage. It really looked scruffy before Werner painted her.

"Smoothie."
My wife, the agoraphobic, got herself all sedated for the ride to Oshkosh, and was amazed at how smoothly the Cherokee Six flies.
Hence, Smoothie.

Our Mooney is called " Hank" as in .... Hank Moody
We had a B737 -200 we called Christine because of the weird noises it made and bizzare snags it generated

Speaking of named Mooneys, while I was posted to Greenwood, there was a Captain who owned a Mooney and nicknamed it 'Cool Cat'. He never used his civilian rego, just 'Cool Cat'. Met up with him again while at Namao.
Cheers...Chris

Was watching Austin City Limits on PBS a while back and an F-4 jock was singing a song called Sher Babes awesome song about his Wife and his F-4! Both girls shared the same name!
Sher-Babes wish I could find a link to the song! Real good tune!
Sher-Babes. Toby Hughes's "love song" to his F-4 "Phantom II" (named after his wife), which took hits over Khe Sanh but still brought him home.

Pale Horse
It killed the previous owner. I'm quite fond of it, even though it tried to kill me, first time I flew it - jammed stick on vertical dowline, which made the landing interesting.
I love it dearly.
