Time to go flying again!

Post by MDTS »

So, mostly like to just creep on the pages around these parts, as I do not feel like being picked apart by some of the know it all's. But am super excited for tomorrow. I took about a year or so off to go back to work in the oilfeild, save up some money and pay off my debts and pocket some cash. Haven't flown since November of last year, but moved into the city yesterday and went down today, booked my flight for tomorrow. Starting my commercial training and couldn't be more excited! Although a little nervous that I have forgotten quiet a bit. We will just be doing a general review flight, stalls, steep turns, and what not, but either way, I busted my ass off for a year and a half on a service rig to get here and couldn't be more excited! I've missed flying so much, and feel like tomorrow I wont be able to whipe the smile off my face! Its just like riding a bike right? Met my instructor and seemed like a really cool guy. Cannot wait to start this chapter of my life as I continue it into my dream career! Cheers

Like any skill, there will be some rust but you'll be surprised how quickly it comes back. I got my licence in '05 and then didn't fly for 2.5 years because I got too busy with school. It comes right back if you're willing to put in the study time at home and listen to the instructor!!!

Best of luck.
