Headsets- lightspeed tango
hello, I have been looking to get a noise canceling headset and have been looking at the wireless light speed tango. I don't know anyone with this headset so I cant try it and see if i like it. Does anyone here use the tango? I would just like to know how it fits and actually works, I have tried on my friends a20 and I like the way it feels so would just like to know how the tango feels in comparison to the a20? Any info on the headset would be nice from someone that has tried it and also if anyone has one for sale I could be interested! Thanks alot!

I'd personally go with wired... the whole wireless thing for me is still too weird. The Zulu 2's can be had for a good deal now and take less batteries than the PFX or Tango. I've used mine now for 2000 hours, with all kinds of conditions from -40* to +*30 and in many types. They are a great all around headset.

Hey!
I have the Tango and I've been very happy with it. I haven't had any interference with the Bluetooth, and I really enjoy the lack of cables. They are a bit heavier than normal headsets, but it hasn't really bothered me. If the Bluetooth fails, there is a built in cable that you can connect and you will receive sound as a normal headset. Depending on how much you fly, the battery life might be annoying for you. (I think it's 12 hours?) I usually do 1-3 hour trips every once in a while so it doesn't bother me to charge them. Watch for promos, I got a set of 2 batteries and a wall charger as a bonus when I got mine.
Whether you go wireless or not, I highly recommend an active noise cancelling headset. I believe it has greatly improved my ability to focus in flight, and reduced my fatigue. I used to get headaches after flights, and it hasn't happened since I got these. Especially if you are getting charged to rent headsets or you have crappy ones, it will be worth the money just to save your ears!
Where are you located? (I'm in YVR and could show them to you)

Thanks, I am in Ontario so that sucks. thanks for the offer though. have you tried other ANR head sets? would you compare them similar in noise reductions as the others? how much heavier do you find them? I have been using one similar to a David Clark and I find after a few hours my ears will hurt from the pressure on them, do you find the tango to not press very hard? thanks alot

I've tried quite a few headsets and for me the a20 is the way to go. I haven't tried the newest ones that came out in last 4 years so I am also curious how guys like the new ones.

The only headset I've ever had is a Bose A20. You can't go wrong with one of these. If you plan of being in the business for the long run, go with the A20. I also tried the Zulu, at that point it's pretty much the same performances... Go at your local shop or FBO and ask to try them both on your head.
My dream is to fly... Over the rainbow, so high!!
