BC medevac contract
Who are the front runners for the new contract?
Does CarsonAir have a lock on it?

It will also likely depend on if they want an ALS service like Alberta or a BLS service like they currently have, or like Manitoba. As it is, they call Alberta when they have super critical patients or NICU/PICU trips (sometimes).
Re: BC medevac contract
When I flew Medevacs for BCAS, the paramedics were critical care rated, which was a step above ALS. They also had transport planes the PCP rated guys would work, but the majority of the fleet was critical care. You’re likely getting calls because BCAS resources were tapped, or an Alberta based plane could respond quicker.
