Re: Telemedicine medical question
Depends on what you mean by “expired”
If you hold a Cat1 and you have passed the validity period of the Cat1 but have not passed the validity period of the Cat3 then you can still renew via telephone.(back to Cat1)
There’s obviously more reasons why you cannot do it by telephone but I’m only referring only to the timelines of your MC.

Class 3, it has expired,
I have read the tc questionnaire which stated " expiring between March 17 and May 2025" . It didn't state had already expired between these dates, that was my only questioning of the wording. Reading further down I believe it states expired not eligible

Are you able to do telemedicine if you are due for an ECG?

Re: Telemedicine medical question
Yes, as long as you meet the other requirements for a telemedical.
Re: Telemedicine medical question
How exactly do you get your signature in your aviation booklet by the CAME if you do telemedical?

By telefax, silly.
Jk, they send you a piece of paper via the World Wide Web, then you print it using a dot matrix printer, then you place said paper in your aviation booklet.
Re: Telemedicine medical question
Hope they accept black and white lazer and glued into the booklet (don't want it to flap around/lose it)CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 5:40 amBy telefax, silly.

That may invalidate your entire ADB. The only place I would add any foreign material to my ADB with my own hand is ink in the signature box.

Darn, this is the radio licence all over again (which btw, I have no clue where's now since I kept it separate)Fly0nTheWall wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 9:20 amThat may invalidate your entire ADB. The only place I would add any foreign material to my ADB with my own hand is ink in the signature box.
Do you guys keep the booklet in a cover that has a sleeve for these additional papers laying around?

Re: Telemedicine medical question
Yup, that's what I use. This one here to be precise https://www.pilotshop.ca/cps-licence-wallet.html, but anything like it will do. You may have more ity bitty pieces of paper to carry around with you as time progresses (PPC cards, elementary maintenance sign-offs, etc. etc.), so I find it nice to keep it organized in one place. Everyone has their preferences though...some people just keep it in their flight bags since it's always on the plane. I also find it nice to have a place to keep your passport alongside your license though so you don't forget it in the baggage area...with your headset, after engines start....ya that would suck.

Re: Telemedicine medical question
Renewed my CAT1 today via telemedicine. Easy peasy.
I found it ironic given this thread that my CAME reminded me to carry a copy (not glue/tape/laminate) of the renewal that he later emailed me.
“Can I just keep an e-copy of the renewal in lieu of the paper copy like I have since we last met?”
*laughs* -You can do that as well, after all I’m sending you the damn stamp by email!
YMMV

Not required for telemedicine renewals.
