How will this effect flight school's

Post by redlaser »

Judge Anne Turley has just ruled in the case of the Thunder bay confederation college that the people working on aircraft maintenance do not fall under the federal government but the provincial government because it's education this will have a ripple effect to all the flight schools in Canada, All maintenance personnel will not have to comply to federal labor laws anymore according to her ruling

So what changes can we expect to see in aircraft maintenance in flight schools?

I'm assuming these AMEs wanted the personal days off awarded to workers in Ontario?

Which mechanics? The ones working on operational training aircraft or the ones teaching the next generation of AMEs? They may be under the same roof but the building was specifically designed to totally quarantine each operation from the other.

https://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/de ... 6/index.do

The decision. It references ACE, not the AMEs. It’s much more complex than saying a one party is provincial. Read the decision before you post next time.

Read a book. I suggest “eats, shoots and leaves by Lynn truss”

Teaches you all you need to know about apostrophes and grammar in a fun friendly way. And you may be less angry about ridiculous aspects of Canadian aviation
