Check out the AIM - COM 3.16

There's an abundant supply of information pertaining to GNSS/GPS, much more than the 2 pages covered in the IPM.

Hey, I take it you failed the exam.

A good start for GPS and RAIM information would be the AIM. Check that out as well as any GPS book you can find in your local library. I'm not sure if AeroCourse has any info on GPS.

Good luck

You are correct, the IPM doesn't cover enough regarding GNSS. The INRAT GNSS questions are based on what's published in the AIM...

Post by Degrassi »

Thanks for the help guys.. i did of course read the AIM.. but man trying to make sense of what that thing is trying to tell me, is in a word, difficult. I was wondering if there was any publication on top of the IPM and AIM that had valuable info that is easy to comprehend.

You seem to be one of those misguided souls who feel a government document should in some way aid you. What are you going to want next, a public servant who serves the public???

I'd give the Aerocourse workbook a look, I haven't used it myself but the one for the ATPL was great when I was writing mine.

Also, the first few pages of the CAP Plates has the latest and greatest of the do's and don't regarding GNSS.

I have heard of as many as six questions from one INRAT come back word for word off those two or three pages. Its a pretty quick read, check it out :!: :!:

Yup - The last version I bought about 8 months ago still has the old 1200/700 Approach Ban inside... We happened to have TC at the school at the time for a ride, and their advice?

"Stick to the CAP GEN."
... Thanks, guys.

Cheers,
