Pattison Airways
Anyone have any information on Pattison Airways? Working conditions? Schedule or on call all the time? Good people?
I've heard both good and bad things in the past about flying for Mr. Pattison. Any input would be appreciated.

Nice jet owned by super busy multi billionaire. He will want to go where he wants when he wants possibly with little notice. You can probably expect the schedule to be all over, as the previous poster mentioned, but I bet it's well run operation in terms of getting everything you need to do the job right.

An older, but nice Falcon(there are no bad Falcons!). Lots of flying, constant on-call (no is not accepted), very long duty days, average pay at best, lengthy tours with little time in town at times.
Jimmy himself is not a bad guy to deal with. His admin, Maureen Chant is an absolute nightmare. That is where most pilots (there have been lots) run into trouble.
The Pattison Group is very much about Jimmy. As long as he is alive, he will have an aircraft, but will you be there?
Not likely based on his track record..

well
i'm not sure about the $135K remark...
however, what I think Ahramin meant by his post was that those bad things you might've heard about working for Mr. J. P. (as you mentioned in your first post), well they just might come true if you forget to call customs ahead of time and you have to sit and wait around on the tarmac...
Rumour is J. P. don't like to wait
It would be interesting to see which of the stories floating around are real or fiction.

Kick the tires and light the fires...
I don't think you will make a career out of working there, (although some have) but it wouldn't hurt your progression to have worked there for a while. Kinda like London Air - cheapest operator, pilots do all their own flight planning, but CL604 is nearly new, and they're getting a BD700. But probably the lowest paid corporate pilots in the industry.
"What's it doing now?"
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."

Resurrecting this old thread. Anyone have any new intel on these guys?
Thanks
Thanks

I would be interested to hear more about it myself. Would love to be back in Vancouver! I know they were one of the companies on my list to get to know before making the move back myself. Feel free to share a PM if you like.
