Excellent photos. I especially liked the DH Dove. Its hard work shooting an intrument panel without getting shadows behind the control yokes.

May I ask, what's your camera and flash set up like?

In the beaver pic, what exactly am I looking at? Looks like some sort of primitive moving map lol.

Excellent photos.
Did anyone notice - The pictures of the Russian Antonov 26 and the Mil MI17 helicopter show the Rusian version of their attitude indicator.
The Russian version works a bit different than what the Western world is used to. In the West, the airplane symbol remains fixed and the background (horizon) moves as if you are looking out the window whereas in Russia, the background remains fixed and the airplane symbol moves, as if you were atached to the fin and looked at the airplane
Has anyone ever used one like that?

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

I looked at one picture and it had a PH registration... so I wandered over to the Aeronca Chief picture...

Good old OO RIK and I have flown it a few times!
Raf Mestag used to own it with his girlfriend and barrel it over England!

I'll have to check the others... Perhaps there are more cockpits in which I have sat and flown!

I would, but I'm in Canada now...
It's nice to bring back a few memories though!
We had fun in those days, no radio, pure VFR.

Three of us did a flight down to Sandown, myself and Guido Verbist in two Turbulents, Raf and his girlfriend in the Chief...
Fun days...

Raf would annoint each big city he flew over by opening the door and sticking it out into the breeze!
