777-300ER YVR-SYD
Does anyone know if there is typically a weight restriction on this route using this equipment? I've heard AC is blocking seats until W&B numbers are finalized just prior to departure.
Re: 777-300ER YVR-SYD
Yes there is. Very few cons have been getting on. The aircraft is departing with the entire front cargo hold empty + anywhere from 50-100 seats empty on a regular basis southbound due to W&B issues.
As of Feb 1st it will be a 777LR everyday so it won't be an issue anymore.

The flight is blocked at 270 seats, down from its 349 seats. Thats all that is being sold on the flight so revenue pax are not being bumped.

I wonder if the load is being restricted to what the -200LR can carry so they can put whatever they want on the sked.
I hear it will be -200 exclusively on that route once we have enough of them.

Quick Q for you 777 guys.
I was coming back from Seoul on Asiana's 777 earlier this month, and we were grounding 780Mph @ FL410. What's the TAS for this type of configuration, and what type of ground speed range are you accustomed to?
Thanks.

True airpseed varies with conditions but 500 knots is pretty typical on a B777.

I hope to be getting one of those seats in March - free..... Sister works there, and as of now 1st is wide open, cattle is full...! Fingers crossed!
My parents have both been in 1st twice now with BA, said it's a different world. I'll let you know IF I get the same treatment. Knowing my luck, it'll be 12hrs in the jump seat...

Re: 777-300ER YVR-SYD
AC doesn't have First Class, there's Business (aka Executive) and Hospitality (aka Economy). Since no one one based on this continent is willing to offer that service, that probably means there just isn't sufficient market to demand it. That said, BA's First Class service is far better than anything you will find offered on AC, or any NA carrier. It's simply not available here.
