Request for anyone booking on westjet.com
Hello! I've been reading this post instead of doing my reading! hahaha
The reason I am posting (I am the Sarah half of Sarah&Emma) is that we are students trying to get enough AirMiles to fly our mom to Ontario this summer for her 50th birthday. She is still living in Nova Scotia, and she has never been on a plane before.
If you, or anyone you know is planning on buying a plane ticket on westjet.com, and you don't have an Air Miles card/don't want one, PLEASE!!! Use ours!!! (#8407 257 8906). Just type it in when you buy your ticket online! We can't afford to fly back for her birthday, so we are trying to scrounge up the miles to get her here. (We don't have a car/don't buy gas, so we can't get all that many miles.)
We cannot express to you how much this would mean to us to fly her here for her special day. If this posting violates the forum or is offensive, I sincerely aplogize. That is not my intention at all.
Happy Holidays and safe travels, everyone!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Sarah & Emma

Re: Request for anyone booking on westjet.com
Stupid question: What's a buddy pass? I looked on the WJ site & didn't see anything. What am I missing?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Westjet is no longer an Air Miles partner, you can earn with them on flights booked before Dec 31 only...You will still be able to redeem for WJ flights though.

Thank you for your reply
I am aware of the 31 December cut-off for earning Air Miles with WestJet. I posted my initial message in the hopes that someone booking before 31 December would see it.
Thanks again!

BUDDY PASSES:
If you are lucky enough to have a family member or friend who works for an airline, you may be among the fortunate few who have access to coveted buddy passes. Buddy, travel, or companion passes, as they are interchangeably known, are coupons that allow friends or family of the airline industry to travel for well below regular ticket

Hi bandaid,
It is $229+ taxes and fees each way at the moment. We've been saving for it, but the air miles would be a biiiiiiiig help.

What about the train? Might be cheaper...Takes forever but is very comfortable.

How many airmiles do you need for your Mother to be able to go?
Re: Request for anyone booking on westjet.com
I see they are at least keeping up with the thread they started here. They've ignore the one at flyertalk since they started it. Someone checked their AM number out over there and they have zero miles so far. Might want to start helping themselves a bit first before asking all over the internet for people to "donate".

Air miles are redeemable for lots of things besides travel. Makes you wonder, eh?DanJ wrote:I see they are at least keeping up with the thread they started here.
