I'm just curious to know how many of you paid the $100 or $150 to get your resume and CV professionally done by the folks at pilotcareercenter.com

There was a time when I was having difficulty creating a good resume before I found my 1st flying job and considered paying the money to get the PCC team to rework it. Of course I ended up getting it right on my own, but I'd just like to know from those of you who did do it, what you thought of the result.

for what it's worth here's the layout of my resume, I've used my entire career...It won't show up properly but you'll get the idea. Keep it one page, don't break down every hour in every type you've flown especially if you've flown singles and have 500 hours. Short sweet and to the point.

is a resume good without experience ?
but for sure you can have a bad resume with a good experience.
you can pay for your resume : the PPc resume is a bit overrated and expensive, it exagerates your experience and tries to make you pass for the person you're not : a C.E.O
some landed a job with it, but from my experience the PPC resume is good when applying to international carriers.
a 703 canadian operator might laugh a bit.( even if some did it in the 703 world with a PPc res, again)
anyway...

Well, having both is important. A well constructed resume with no BS, and pertinent information, mixed with the right level of experience.

But I'm just curious what those people who DID use PCC's resume design though of it. Just out of pure curiosity.

I honestly think KAG's resume is pretty sweet and to the point. I mean based on what he says, this resume was eye sighted by JZA and he's currently one of their fliers.

I used the PCC service. It helped to reduce a three page run-on sentence into a succinct and precise format. I just keep it updated today and it works fine.

I got that setup from the book "the damn good resume guide", it's worked for me since day 1.
I don't think you need to spend hard earned money just to highlight your skills, IMHO.
For each job and as I gained experience, I would tailer it for that job I was applying for.
If your low time, the company knows basically what you have (a CPL/multi IFR, diploma) so your resume should also highlight other related experience you may have like sales and customer service. Maybe your a handyman, or are good with a wrench. While not taking 5 mins and 3 pages to read.

after re-reading your res my set-up is nearly the same (without so much experience of course)
it doesn't seem to be working as efficiently for me. I've read Xs's sticky too and I really don't or can't see what can be the prob
