afap.org.au . It's an organization that posts jobs and does insurance. They mostly only show jobs and are few and far between these days im afraid. pprune is really the ony one to hear the rumours and lies though.

Overall, I would say that The Aviation Forum is actually the closest to AvCanada that I'm aware of. It's not as active as AvCanada or PPRuNe, but there are some characters on the site ... just like here.

what's the deal with logging on to that site? it tells me that you need a special email with an ip address? Anyone know how to get ahold of these mystical email addresses???

It won't register addresses like Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc. Use the email address you got from your ISP.
