Repost from the thread that was supposed to be about hockey but turned into one about reservations.

Hockey, hockey, hockey!!!

Hockey, hockey, hockey!!!

Hockey, hockey, hockey!!!

Way to to Canada... :partyman: :partyman:

And not just to the hockey teams... this truly is a historic moment in Canadian history. I doubt any of us will witness anything like it ever again. :D

Cheers.

How often does the entire country roar in jubilation at the exact same instant? You would have to be pretty cynical not to see some good in that.

Not necessarily cynical...maybe objective...or maybe, while appreciating the sport, realizing we are passing through history, and some things remain the same....

Meh-it was a good hockey game. It was just a hockey game , though.

Also, this is " Misc. / Political Debate / Aviation Humor " so we have to argue about stuff.
(:

I enjoyed the hockey game-great game. Couldn't ask for a better game...thirty seconds left tie up....sudden death overtime...

Before and after the hockey game-which was the only Olympics I watched , though, I thought about how funny it is that the cardiovascular disease/obesity / diabetes merchants Coke and Mcdonalds were the major sponsors of a contest between the fittest human beings on Earth.

Ahahahahahaha.

Funnier yet-
And it only cost 2 to 6 billion dollars for me to watch that game......

And I don't have a float plane business to get bankrupted by a circus -

ahhhhhhhhh....good thing these only come around every few years, my sides are killing me.

The worst part, of course , was when those two Canadian shots went off the goal post. Whoa. I got kind of upset , there, I have to say......

From an earlier post about not wanting Team Canada to win...
The Canadian goalie's day job is to look greasy and fall apart in the playoffs to the tune of 6 million.

Looked pretty solid to me, say what you want about the goals (and you will cause thats what haters do...)

What a game....in less then 15mintues went from pure shock...to well....pure pure shock!!! :D

I am not a hockey fan, but I like to watch these history making games. Anyway, I just came back from two weeks in a quiet place without TV, and did not even know about THE GAME! I was in Kabul at the time, sleeping tight, while every canadian stayed up all night to watch it. Pity!!! Life sucks :x
Well done Canada!

It was the most exciting game I ever watched. Crosby's goal was only icing on the cake.
Alexander Ovechkin said some nice things, like Canada deserved the gold.

Now that the Olympics are over I feel it would of been nice if people were allowed to take a breather, from sports, in particular the hockey. NHL games could of waited a few more days to let people and players savor the moment and not act like the Olympics were nothing to reflect upon a little while. I know there is no silence because of our crazy culture which doesn't believe in moments of reflection and must constantly have some new money being made, and a new buzz everyday. I wonder what it was like in Greece, after the summer Olympics ended, were people turning on the tv to watch car racing, or the equestarians?

Blah, NHL, never really cared for that crap, for me, hockey is every 4 years when the players actually fight for their own country not what ever city pays them the most. Though, NHL does breed good olympians for us :)

I saw that too. AMM is referring to an ad in this thread.

Be careful with online cougar sites. You could end up with one of these beauties!
