Where to go
Aside what is post in avcanada jobs or PCC, anyone knows where are the most small operators concentrated on? Thunder Bay? Winnipeg? Regina?Calgary?....any idea? I am going to have a chat directly with the CP`s but I do not want to drive. Just get a plane and go to them, and eventually drive the car from there to the most close places.
(flying small twin as King Airs, Navajo`s or PC12/Caravan)
Thank you

Re: Where to go
With certain companies, if all you do is go to the CPs, the chances are low. CPs are generally very busy and do not do the hiring directly. This does depend on the operation of course. Your best bet is to find out who EXACTLY does the hiring for each position, as well as who their supervisors are, and go directly to them with your resumes. Thats how I got my first job on the ground.rocco1 wrote:Aside what is post in avcanada jobs or PCC, anyone knows where are the most small operators concentrated on? Thunder Bay? Winnipeg? There's lots in Winnipeg, lot's of movement. Yellowknife is also a great place to go. Just stay away from Toronto or Vancouevr, unless you don't mind instructing, and waiting a while to find an instructing job at that. You just gotta hang around and keep trying. Best of luck!

Fly to Thunder Bay and drive from there to Winnipeg. Or vice versa. Make sure you stop in Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Kenora at the very least along the way. There is a ton of operators in both these cities and between.

Looks like a few places in Saskatoon are hiring, Don't bother with Calgary unless you got an ATPL and decent multi-pic time
