What kind of start salary can I expect at Air Transat?

Ive been called and they like me... I wonder what kind of start level salary I can expect at Air Transat.

How many hours do I get. if I move to YVR can I support myself if rentals there are as high as 800- $ 900?

Please advise here.

Hi All

I have refused to take either YUL or YVR. I can speak 3 other languages that they wanted. Asian languages Punjabi, Hindi etc

They seemed to like me but i read out to them my concerns about 343 F/A's being laid off. F/A= Flight Attendant(s), and asked why she mentioned a possible lay off time of 2 weeks when 343 people were laid off for more than 3 months, which she didnt tell me in the interview but it was easily available on the internet.

Also they said per hour pay is $ 27, this is to update all (not $24) so thats a correction. This was the MTL ( YUL) office who called me on saturday. Another thing is the lowest seniority always getting laid off.. thats a bummber as Id like some stability moving to a new place..Its good to ask questions.. All new people are lowest seniority.

When I told them that the job postings still are for YYZ on indeed.com website, then why I couldnt be consiodered for it,. they said they cant have F/A's be picky... Its selfish of them. They are supposed to let u take the base u applied for in the job posting, so why would I accept a negotiation.

I'd like to give you all a suggestion that unless you have a lot of $$ about 5 K or more before you make a change of base to their preference, dont move. !!!! They have a massive turn over.

theyre laying so many people off... and you'd think i'd accept it, when I can be a manager in a company.? I just applied to see if it was worthwhile. I feel it's not.
