Air Canada T+C's

Post by elhughesio »

Hi there,

I'm interested in finding out some more info about Air Canada. Can someone tell me:

1. A typical roster on the 320 series?
2. How much leave you get?
3. Do you bid for your work?
4. What is the pension like?
5. do you get hourly pay on top of the basic?

Thanks very much

1- No typical roster, it depends on your seniority. If you are junior lots of 4 day cycles throughout North America, Caribbean and Central America.A junior roster is about 14-16 days of flying.Everything from 1 to 4 day pairings.Very few redeye flights overall but if you are junior you will be doing a few.
A senior schedule could be 8 days per month of high productivity round trips.
The AC Jetz rosters can be as long as 8-9 days and are popular with the sports fans....

2-leave: junior pilot: 14-16 days off per month, senior pilot as much as 22 days off per month.

3-yes we bid for everything.

4-pension: defined benefits.

5-no basic pay, it is hourly pay with a minimum monthly guarantee....should come out to around 105 000$ to 115 000$ per year if you have around 5 years at AC.

If you have some seniority it is by far the best lifestyle ACFT at AC.(my opinion)
