Hiring Pool

Post by victorious secrets »

Just got an email saying that they have too many candidates in process then required for the projected ground schools and that I've been entered into the hiring pool. Anyone else get this or know anything about it?
Cheers

Same thing happened to me in the fall after I completed the whole process. They called me two months later. I'm sure you'll get a call at some point.

I would imagine if this is true it would have something to do with a delay due to equipment bid coming this summer. Would only make sense to hold off on classes just to make sure jazz doesn't get flying cut and hiring is no longer needed.

I've done the interview and have been invited for a sim eval with a date TBD. I talked with an HR person who said there will be no sim evals in June as far as she knows, so it sounds like the hiring process is starting to slow down. I haven't received any other emails either way though.

Don't worry guys, hiring is only slowed due to the fact the sim's/instructors are swamped from all the new hire and recurrent training to the point that there is just nobody to do the eval's/more new hire training.

cheers

+1. Easy to imagine other scenarios, but there truly are 'zero' open slots at either CAE, and I suspect training staff is stretched prettttty thin. Keep the faith!

I'm also part way through. Does anyone have any idea when they will finish processing the current applicants? Is everything frozen until after the August bid? When I interviewed, they said they were interviewing for May, June, and July ground schools. Are the July ground schools filled up? I have a good job so I'm willing to wait it out, I just curious how long I might be waiting.

I'm so frustrated with this recruitment process! Back in May this year i had an interview with jazz for a flight attendant position and right after the interview they told me that they decided to move forward with my application. I was scheduled for a medical exam the next day and also did the medical background check right away. I was told at the beginning that trainin would start either in June or July..if i got the job. In june they called my references and in july i called to follow up but it was useless, they basically said i just have to wait..couldn't even tell me how long. All i've been gettin from them are a few emails saying that i'm still being considered but that classes are being filled and they're also doing August and September. Basically, the only class left now is september 12th and i still haven't heard from them so at this point i'm pretty sure i didn't get the job even though things seemed to be going so well. I just don't understand what is taking so long and i find it ridiculous. You'd think a big company like this would be more organized or if they did not want me at least out of courtesy they should have sent me an e-mail. I just don't get it...

We should have the results of the August bid by middle of September (at the latest). At that time we wil know how many pilots Jazz will be hiring. Hope that helps.

37 ish vacanices....which other then 6 or so Q spots have been filled to my knowledge....however the spring could see some hiring spool up. We've lost 30 or so guys'n gals to the transats, westjets and ACs to be. The next 5 years are gonna be a roller coaster....hang on!
