noob post av buff, saw strange planes on a trailer

Hi all ! long time fan 1 st time poster , ima avation buff, who grew up around airports as a kid because my father was a tech with cp air/ canadian back in the day , long story short i was comming back from a motorcycle roadtrip from salt lake , and i crossed the border in north dakota at North portal, and these 2 70's 80' ear fighters where sitting on trailers my guess waiting to clear us customs? at 1 st i thought the one was a A4 but looking at the pics closer i dont think so , anyone have any ideas? why would they be shipped like that rather then being flown?

cost. even if airworthy likely 10,000 an hour or more to fly and all manner of paperwork to cross border. if not airworthy millions needed to make them so. trucking cost. 1,000 or so.

fonzy, I think your other forum is not allowing you to hot link the picture, I went for a lurk and you can't even see the forum without a password. If you see the picture it's because it's in your cache on your computer. I recomend uploading it to www.imageshack.us it's free and so far seems secure and allows hotlinking.
