Apparently the "fire" was smoke coming from one of the ovens.

Hey Cam and Lowjack,

Thanks for all the info, I must say I was quite alarmed when I read the first post,,,,,,,,,

Where were you able to get all of this info from? Fire in the oven etc.?

Thank goodness everything seems to be ok.

If you use Twitter, I follow @breakingnews which got it out of an Australian newspaper that was reporting at the time. Then it was just a matter of connecting all the dots on where to find the ATC feed and radar(ish) image.

Was my wife cooking? Thats just another night in the CP77 household!

Glad everyone was OK, must have been some tense times, looked like a real soft touchdown too...captain must have been under 60 :mrgreen: sorry couldn't resist

I cant open the flight tracks on my iPad, how far out did they get?

I was getting all my information from Twitter, and airliners.net. A poster on a.net seemed to have all the correct info right away about it just being a galley oven and nothing serious.
