I started by looking at my fancy license booklet, and on the page with the medical validity chart (page 15) it says to reference CAR 424.04 (3). I looked that up, and predictably it said:
"(3) [deleted 2008/05/01; previous version] "
Gee, thanks TC.
So I looked at 404.04(6), and that's when it started to melt my brain.
I read 404.04 (6) the same way Ahramin read it, so I called Civil Aviation HQ and
the nice lady who answered the phone said they go by your age at the time you did your medical, so she said that since I was 39 when I did my medical, I am good for a year, eg July 1st 2012. Problem solved!
