CanJet considering IPO within three years

CanJet Airlines may sell shares to the public within three years to raise money for expansion. "It's an option now," said Ken Rowe, CanJet's controlling shareholder.
It "could happen in the next one to three years." An initial public offering wouldn't take place until Halifax-based CanJet, a unit of Mr. Rowe's IMP Group International Inc., has a chance to "build up its creditworthiness," he said.
Holding off on an IPO also would allow CanJet to ride out high fuel prices until they drop from levels that have dissuaded some investors from putting money into airlines.
CanJet operates 10 Boeing 737 aircraft.
