Sky Regional Hiring
I see that the job postings have been up for a while. Has anyone heard back or been interviewed yet for any of the positions?
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Lots of interviews going on! Some hiring as well.
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
The job ad states that having a DH8 rating will have preference. Well I've been applying since spring and there's been no call!

Maybe you should sweeten the pot a little and offer to pay for your training?

Re: Sky Regional Hiring
new hires! maybe one or two training captains for line indoc on contract, but thats about it.... AC guys wouldnt want to go there. AC has the LCC starting and 787 coming in, they wont start giving away their trained crew just for shits and giggles...LTD wrote:Anyone know where EMJs will be based YUL or yyz or both?

Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Well I am Dash Q rated as well and no calls. I wonder who they are hiring and what type of experience the applicants have?
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Rumour mill, 40 retired AC pilots now employed with scum regional, way to sell out your former colleagues and your children, some who are at AC now.
Hey 120,000/yr pension and 75,000, like nothing changed, scumbags

How many guys work there? 5 Q400s only, so can't more than 50 guys in total..

Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Hey Mig, did you forget about the transfer of 15 E175s to SR, starting in February, I would say 40 captains is the start of what's needed for those.
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
I know, I know man....I just can't believe there are so many Ac guys working there....sad indeed.
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Is there confirmed hiring for both left and right seat? What about fa and ground crews? Any confirmed offers go out? Feb will be here before you know it
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
They are indeed looking for both right seat and left seat on both types.
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Its actually 6 retired guys doing training and only new SR hires will be flying the 175....no transfer from the Q. But dont hold your breath for SR to receive TC certification anytime soon!
Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Most of the hiring has been completed. First course is starting now (in the UK I'm told), and another in Jan.
There's no shortage of applicants, and apparently an 'average' one has about 3,000 hours.
First flight is Feb 28th.

Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Really curious Snowcone about something..and how would it be that you know for a fact not to expect the TC certification soon? Absolutely false.
Chris, to just say the pay is embarrassing is not enough..what is it? And how do you know?

Re: Sky Regional Hiring

$67,640 for Captains at 56.6 hours a month
and
$40,720 for f/o's,
With no real pay increases just keeping up with inflation, If those numbers are correct that is a new low.
Wake up people, this is nuts!!!!

Re: Sky Regional Hiring
Yep, Chris is right...... The pay is definitely embarrassing.
