Obviously this is Obama's fault.
Hope the crew involved all find something else soon.

Surprising considering the resource market hasn't slowed any up there. Here's hoping its a temporary lay-off. I'm assuming the crews will bump down/over to other positions.LuckyPilot wrote:Have things slowed down that much in the Herc business?

Did Nolinor ever end up getting the Hercules they were trying for?
Re: First Air lays off flight crews
Cargojet is looking for 727 guys. There requirements ask for 1000 jet hours instead of 500 on type.
Wasn't Canadian North looking for Dash 8 drivers a little while back.

Canadian North is looking for Dash pilots, Captain and FO, and I think they are still looking for more 37 drivers.

Re: First Air lays off flight crews
Very sorry to hear those affected. I heard sky regional is hiring guys with jet experience to fly on the E175's. Pay is crap but if you got no choice...
Re: First Air lays off flight crews
There had been occasional rumours for many years about a western base closing, unfortunately, it has now happened. Fortunately, it is happening at a time when there is some hiring in the industry.
It just seems that 7F and 5T are going to continue on until one folds. The market is too small for both of them.

Was the loss of the -200 Combi a factor maybe losing business?
