Re: Cargojet Posting
The resumes for Captains, FO's and SO's are already sorted out. The person responsible for calling will be back next week and start contacting the most suitable candidates. Anticipated start dates for ground courses and company indoctrination are to be in mid or end of September. There has been a huge number of resumes, as in any posting on AV Canada. Best luck to all who applied.

Any idea what they are looking for SOs this time around? Is Seneca College still a preference or are they looking for people with 1500 hours and an ATPL?

Apparently guy's from Seneca are not a preference anymore. I think its discrimination towards other potential candidates that might be even better that the majority of Seneca guys. THose guy's think they're strait out of the top gun movie.

Re: Cargojet Posting
Well good luck to everyone that has applied. Hoping to hear something in the next two weeks, I wonder what the requirements will be for FOs and SOs this time around? And how many positions there are to fill?

Minimum for SO are the minimum requirements transport canada requires you to have for a high performance aircraft. Check your CARs. And FO is 1500TT, ATPL.

Re: Cargojet Posting
Again, hope for the best for everybody that applied. I'm not sure when they are going to start calling people back . Regardless of what people's thoughts and experiences are , the company appears to be profitable and a great stepping stone for people to start off, upgrade and stay . I'm hoping for a call for SO but you never know how many people applied and what the competition is.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Do a search of CJ on this site, read the info and take note.
This is a company that after tried to force policy on its employees dis-allowing them from posting info on working conditions on the internet or TALKING about the company in public. I believe my old policy booklet is still in a garbage can the Leduc hotel.
My personal thoughts: When you see a 14 or so year old airline posting for captains, again, there is a problem. When a company seeks out low time pilots in order to stem turn over, there's a problem.

Re: Cargojet Posting
This is what I meant doorhandle27, people don't seem to last at this place. I do not know if its wait times, work conditions etc. Personally , I would not like to be an SO for 3 to 4 years. This being said, the job is in the GTA, so SO wages will affect your way of life. Working nights for a long period of time (2 years and more) has been proven to drastically affect health, even though one might be totally adjusted to it. Now thats for the lower part of the boat.
Moving to the right and left seat, pay and upgrade times are not the best. I have heard captains staying 5 to 6 months, then leaving for better grounds. I believe Cargojet is like a train station: a transit area. People come for experience and leave as soon as they can when their level of experience has reached an acceptable level. This rule might apply to every operator here in Canada, but turnover time is VERY short apparently! The company became very profitable under very short time. In the past year, they have been loosing many aircrews. And this, they can't afford, due to the fact that it will heavily impede on their operations. There have been two CJ job postings this year I believe. And its not going to get any better.

Re: Cargojet Posting
Technically, according to some sources, calls should be fired off this upcoming week; if they have not already been fired in the last few days. Scheduled interviews after Labor Day. Has anyone heard back from HR, regardless of the position?
