Wow, I was fairly sure after games 3-4 that they weren't gonna be able to get it done, but that was quite an inspired performance!

You call scoring ONE goal, "an inspired performance..."?

All three of the games they have won have been on home ice with flukey goals late in the game. The only thing Vancouver really has going for it is there is only one more game in Boston.

After the dismal showing in Boston what was inspiring was to see the Canucks return to a hard physical game that Boston had no answer for. The refs as usual couldn't control the game and made and missed some brutal calls. Boston needs to get Vancouver killing penalties to have a hope of winning because they can't beat them 5 on 5 when Vancouver is hitting.

The Vancouver wins were essentially "sudden death" where "right place, right time" and "luck" come into play. Hockey games are won and lost in the trenches. And Vancouver is loosing that battle. Big time. They got past the Hawks by the very narrowest of margins, and there are more marbles on the table this time. Methinks Vancouver is going down in flames.
Soon it will be time to watch the greatest collection of talented athletes ever assembled.....GO BEARS!

Doc,
I disagree. I think that the two blowouts in BOS are the anomalies. The two teams are quite evenly matched, IMHO. (I'm from the left coast, so I'll give the edge to the Canucks, tho! ) Sure the two wins in Van were 'sudden death' - but, by the same token, the Bruins also had 60 minutes to pot one more goal than the 'Nucks, and couldn't do it. Likewise last night. Lots of chances at both ends, and the Canucks finally managed to solve Thomas...

I should have specified, Luongo's performance in net, after having been through the previous two games in Boston.

Tim Thomas is a worthy opponent and all-star goalie. It's not surprising the goal scoring has been low against him.

Either way, the Canucks are finding ways to get the job done, slowly but surely. Can't say that about the other CDN teams, except perhaps out on the golf course!

To expect "non-Canuck" fans to ever support this team, even if they won four straight games through shutouts, is not going to happen.

Haters gonna hate.

Game six with the Stanley Cup on the line and Luongo is hooked less than nine minutes in after 3 goals. At least he's consistent in all the big games.

We must be witnessing yet another "anomaly"? 4-0 in the first period.
I think Vancouver is suffering from a sense of "entitlement"? Or, should I say, their fans are?
That said, Thomas should get the MVP, win or lose. Cheers

Holy de-jas-pooooh!

I'm not sure the Canucks even deserve to win the cup after that performance!

Thomas will win the MVP and the Vezina.

The Canucks didn't even "deserve" to beat Chicago.

This series has to be between two of the least deserving teams in a long time - Canucks lucking their way through with the Sedins basically disappearing and Boston only in it because of Thomas. There's been good "run for the cup" goalie performances in the past but this has to be the best ever.

But I do love the toughness and balls-to-the-wall physical play. I guess that's what happens when two lesser skilled teams make it to the final - the difference can more readily be determined in the trenches.

Yah, the #1 team and the #7 team overall really don't deserve to be in the Stanley Cup final...
And, if everyone shows up for the 'Nucks tomorrow night, and they win, then it would be a real travesty if they take home the Cup

I'll be the first to admit, the Canucks did not deserve to win. Totally lucky to stretch it 7 games. Out scored 27 - 8, no offence from the top lines, and the "goalie"....what a joke!

Tim Thomas is amazing and the Bruins deserve this win!

A wildly uninspiring effort considering the Cup was at stake. Two uninspiring efforts really. Lack of offence, lack of goaltending, and lack of desire.

I'll resurrect the thread next spring. Summer well.

Those Idiots damaged a number of cars. That smoke on TV is from an underground parkade.
Bank windows, restaurants.
The Canucks might have lost the game, but the REAL loosers are on the street.
My Grandaughter was down there and was smart enought to hide out in a sushi cafe and is now home,
