For the new guy/gal, just breaking into the industry… steer clear. Max duty, min rest and as this prospective employer seems to think… “transparency under the guise of honesty”

Simply translated: *Welp, we’ve got you by the balls/ovaries and you can’t do any better than US!*

Wrong. I worked for a company that paid their 200 hr new hires better than Encore & Jazz + benefits + free training (multi IFR). There's lots of good operators out there. You just need to find them.

Low time jump pilot jobs pay $5-7 per load in a single engine piston. This is standard across the country. The post just highlights facts. If you don’t like it, move on but a 300hr pilot that decides to go down that route can expect that pay. It’s a time builder or part time summer hobby for a weekend warrior. Personally, I’m grateful that the drop zone I was at literally took a loss to keep the planes flying with fun jumpers when it was slow so I could keep building my time.

Wow, pay has gone up. I only got 3 dollars a load back in the day and had to cover the checkout cost.

Got a free jump course though….and some T&A to make up for it.

Did you look at the ad? It's not "part time"...you get Mon, Tues off and are expected to work 60+hrs Wed-Sun. What a joke.

You’re not working 60 hours. You will spend 60 hours at the drop zone but I spent half the time looking for things to do or took naps in the hammock. Eventually found out that by learning to pack chutes I could make $10/pack.
